    Our Story

    Perched on the edge of a decomissioned apple orchard in the hamlet of Slabtown, Ontario the DiTrani Chalet is a modern architectural masterpiece that honours the legacy of the DiTrani family. Designed by Susan DiTrani, the chalet reimagines the original family ski chalet while paying tribute to John DiTrani, the visionary behind DiTrani Skiwear. 

    Our Vision

    John DiTrani's skiwear designs known for their fearless use of colour and patterns influenced the chalet's bold aesthetic. Combining glass and steel, the structure echoes the bold spirit of 1970's ski fashion and the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains. Susan, inspired by her father's legacy, fused these design elements with contemporary architecture.

    Location

    The chalet "floats" above the orchard, offering stunning views of the Beaver River, with a colour palette reflecting the surrounding landscape. The DiTrani Chalet is minutes away from the Town of Clarksburg and  Thornbury.  Numerous ski resorts like Blue Mtn, Georgian Peaks are close by. The chalet is surrounded by world class golf courses, hiking and biking trails, kayaking and marinas. 

    Our Team

    Husband and wife team Chris and Susan, have been building custom architectural homes for over 15 years combined with 35 years of manufacturing custom windows and doors.
